I looked intently at all of the compact tractors. The 4100 series was tempting, but i had heard about the axel problem and finally settled on the 790 model. A great tractor and I have never looked back!

I am currently lookin at a "Tractor Supply" finishing mower (5')for 999.00. It says it has a 40 hp gearbox. Can my 790 handle this piece of equipment. Has anybody had any experience with this particular mower? It is selling for about 500.00 cheaper than the John deere suggested in the catalog. Any suggestions or comments? Thanks in advanceBob

Thanks everyone for the input. It was a big help. I went ahead and purchased the 790 w turf tires, 54" front end loader, bucket leveler and hood guard for 14,440. They are going to deliver it tomorrow. Able to get 12 months financing right now with 0% interest. I will post back in a few days if I have not injured myself (heh heh). Thanks again for the opinions. They really helped.
